Car to be at auction 10/12
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

Auction description:
Lot 124 - 1953 Austin-Healey 100/4
Estimate: £32,000 - £36,000
Registration Number: NWD 696
Chassis Number: BN1-143710

This example was first registered in September 1953, just one month after the model first went on sale. According to the vendor, it was uprated to M specification and fitted with an attractive louvred bonnet with leather hold straps. Restored by the Healey legend John Chatham in 1998, the car still presents itself in very good general condition and is finished in arguably the best colour combination for a Healey, red over red.

Mechanically this stunning little car is fitted with a 2.5 litre Austin unit. It does however come supplied with a matching series Healey Hundred A90 engine, which can be fitted by the vendor if desired.

A highly desirable and rare 53' car, it has formed part of a private Hampshire collection. Don't miss an opportunity to acquire a very early 100 Healey before we watch the prices soar for the Healey 60th Anniversary next year.

Car to return to auction 3/13
www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2013-03-09/car/1953-austin-healey-bn1.aspx

Lot 212
Registration NWD696
Chassis Number BN1-143710
Engine Number 25U/483K1979
Odometer reading 10,400
Estimate £29,000 - £32,000
Manufactured in 1953, this early example BN1 was the subject of a restoration by John Chatham Ltd in the late 1990's and the condition of the car today is testament to the quality of the work carried out. First registered in the UK in 2002, this splendid Austin Healey has been upgraded to M-Specification with a louvred bonnet and leather hold-down straps, twin 1¾ inch S.U. carburettors and a high lift camshaft increasing the engine performance to 102bhp. The vendor, a respected classic car enthusiast, made an enjoyable trouble free journey to Le Mans in 2012 in this delightful Healey. Finished in red with matching red leather trim, the car comes supplied with a V5 registration document and MoT test certificate valid until 12th June 2013. This truly is a stunning example of one of the most popular British marques.
