Car offered at:
www.motorstorica.com/eng/Cars-for-sale/AUSTIN-HEALEY-100-BN1

Sellers description:
AUSTIN HEALEY 100-BN1 Sports, 1954, chassis nr.BN1-L / 219138, engine nr.1B/219138M, Italian registration, BMIHT certificate 10035, ASI papers. Beautiful and immaculate as the day which it was despatched on September 6, 1954, this is one of the 10,000 BN1 examples ever built between 1953 and 1955 and it has been recently overall restored. The BN1, which is the most essential of the Austin Healey, has all the simple features of the finest two-seater sports cars of the fifties: a sturdy 90 HP four-cylinder Austin engine, a lightweight and sleek body, a refined interior, and a 3 speed gearbox without complications, improved by a pleasant and intuitive overdrive. The car is practically as new with a considerable historical documentation that certifies its provenance and the importance of its restoration. The price is related to the challenging excellent condition of the car, which is, of course, Mille Miglia eligible.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
