Car at auction 11/22
www.osenat.com/lot/129629/19511333-1955-austin-healey-n-de-serie

Auction description:
55000 - 60000 EUR
1955 AUSTIN HEALEY
Serial No. 227055
Wanted copy
Excellent condition
British Motor Industry Heritage Trust
Fully restored to its original configuration €40,000 restoration costs

With the code name BN1, this Austin-Healey will appeal to the press and enthusiasts. It will sell 10,000 copies.
The model that we present for sale left the factory on the 4 July 1955. It will soon be sent to the United States. It will not be imported into France until February 1987. During its journey in the country of Uncle Sam, the chassis of this car rusts and loses its rigidity. Upon his return to France, the owner began a complete restoration of the vehicle and therefore decided to change the chassis. This car will receive over €40,000 in restoration costs which will run from 2012 to 2015.
Today, this automobile is in its original condition, in a Carmine Red configuration with black interior, as attested by the accompanying British Motor Industry Heritage Trust. Among the work carried out, we note a repair of all the wiring harness and the engine, the same for the upholstery, side-screens and a new tonneau cover, an accessory belt or a crankshaft pulley. A file lists all the work carried out. This Austin-Healey is therefore ready to hit the road again. It will delight its future owner.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
