Registration No: YFF 613

Chassis Number: BN2-L/228736

Engine Number: 1B/228736
Body Number: 5487 10729

Built on the 3rd of October 1955, This Austin Healey 100/4 BN2 was exported to the US to the Hambro Trading Company. Originally built in left-hand drive configuration. A laminated windscreen and a heater are listed under details of factory equipment, while the original colour scheme was Spruce green with a green interior.

The Healey returned to the UK in the early 1990’s and was registered on its current UK registration number in 1995 and has had four owners in this country including the current vendor. It is understood that the car was restored to its current body colour of black in the early 90’s and converted to its current right-hand specification shortly after being repatriated to the UK.

In 2021 the current owner of the car commissioned JME Healeys to undertake the 100M conversion installed to the car. This included the louvered bonnet, H6 carburettors, 100M pistons, camshaft and with the much-improved aluminium cylinderhead being fitted. At this time, a front disc brake conversion was installed along with uprating the front suspension, fitment of a high torque starter motor, powerlite alternator, electronic ignition and electric fan kit. The car has recently benefitted from a full gearbox and overdrive rebuild and full service to JME’s service schedule. The car has had considerable funds spent over the past 2 years to improve the car to its current condition. Invoices of all work completed by JME is supplied with the car. An incredibly fun car to drive with impressive with performance and road handling. The steering of the car is responsive and smooth. Overdrive operates instantly and smoothly. Excellent oil pressure hot and cold with consistent running temperatures thanks to the electric fan. Removable 4-point harness seatbelts supplied.
