Auction description:
Auction Date: 25 September 2010
Lot 43 - 1955 Austin Healey 100/4 BN2 Restoration Project
* Registration: Unregistered
* Chassis Number: BN2 – L/229935
* Engine Number: 1B/229935
* Odometer reading: tbc
* Estimate: £9,000-£12,000
* Hammer: Not Sold
* Plus Commission: Still Available
The restoration project offered here was originally a white car with a red interior. A far cry from the cars current colour scheme! This car was imported to the UK on 25th February 2010 and all import duty and taxes have been paid, as confirmed with the accompanying HMRC import certificate. Further documentation to this includes British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate, and Florida Certificate of Title for the car. A true and genuine car, this challenging restoration project will become a labour of love for the right person and we're excited to see the final result. The body panels, engine and a small number of original parts and mechanicals are offered with the car as can be seen from the photographs.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
