This 1956 Austin-Healey 100 BN2 roadster was built in April 1956 and privately exported to the United States soon thereafter. A refurbishment in 2001 included refinishing the car in red and black over a black interior, and power comes from a rebuilt 2,660cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission and an overdrive unit. The car has been modified with a 100M Le Mans conversion kit, and additional equipment includes a black soft top, a louvered hood secured by a leather tie-down strap, an adjustable windshield, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, and twin SU carburetors. This BN2 roadster is offered on consignment by the selling dealer in Massachusetts with a BMIHT certificate, a binder of service records, refurbishment photos, and a clean New Hampshire title in the owner’s name.

The body was originally painted Healey Blue, and it was refinished in the current red and black by Paint Works of Dover, New Hampshire during the 2001 refurbishment. Other work included fitting a 100M-style adjustable windshield and louvered hood with a leather tie-down strap. Additional equipment includes a black soft top and chrome-finished side mirrors. Uneven trunk-lid gaps are noted, as depicted in the photo gallery below.

Silver-finished 15″ wire wheels with knock-off hubs are mounted with Nexen SB-802 tires measuring 165/80. Braking is handled by four-wheel hydraulic drums, and the suspension features stiffened 100M-style components up front.

The left-hand-drive cabin has twin bucket seats trimmed in black with red piping, complemented by black door panels and carpets lined with rubber floor mats. Interior amenities include a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a chrome ashtray, and an upholstered center armrest.

A banjo-style steering wheel frames a painted steel dashboard that houses Smiths instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges measuring oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer indicates 5k miles, and true mileage is unknown.

The 2,660cc inline-four is said to have been rebuilt as part of the 2001 refurbishment, and 100M-style components were fitted including high-compression pistons, a high-lift camshaft, larger dual SU carburetors, and a higher-flow airbox. A Le Mans Modification Kit badge is affixed to the airbox. The selling dealer states that an oil change was conducted in preparation for the sale.

Engine tag 1B/231907M matches what is documented on the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with an electrically actuated overdrive unit that is engaged by using a dash-mounted switch.
