Car to be at auction 3/23
www.goodingco.com/lot/1957-austin-healey-100-6-bn4-1/
Auction description:
Lot 6
2023, Estate of Mark Smith Auction
1957 Austin-Healey 100/6 BN4
Estimate $30,000 - $40,000| Without Reserve
Chassis BN4L-0-33446
Austin-Healey’s First Six-Cylinder Offering
Sportingly Finished in Black with Red Coves and Accented by Oxblood Interior
Among the Most Beautiful and Revered British Sports Cars of Its Day
This 100/6, built in 1957, benefits from the redesigned 12-port cylinder head, which raised its horsepower an additional 10% over the initial examples for a total of 117 hp. Attractively finished in the popular factory-offered combination of black with red coves, the Austin-Healey sits nicely on its painted wire wheels and is smartly accented by a gently patinated oxblood interior with competition-style lap belts. A louvered panel has been added to the center of the hood, presumably to increase engine-bay ventilation. Apparently hailing from Pennsylvania, the grille sports badges of the Appalachian and Susquehanna Sports Car Clubs. This 100/6 will undoubtedly continue providing exhilarating service following its return to the road.
*Please note that this Lot, like all vehicles in this Auction, has been in long-term static storage and may not be currently operational. It will require mechanical attention prior to any road use.
