From the original austinhealey.com web site:

"Robert J. Denton, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, USA: Red w/ red interior 1958 100-6, BN6L-1238

Car originally bought by Ralph Durbin of Detroit to race at Road America in 1958. It was the Road America 500 event, Sept. 6-7, 1958. The car has 10,252 miles on it. It appears to never have had a front bumper and has European-bulb Lucas headlights with alterations to the wiring harness. It also has the 100-4 spare tire straps in the trunk because production cars racing in those days had to have usable spare tires. The roll bar would have interfered with the spare had it been placed behind the seat in its proper position."

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
