Car was at auction 10/17
www.classicdriver.com/en/car/austin-healey/bn6/1958/488427

Auction description:
This beautiful Austin-Healey 100-Six, with numbers all concordants, is of American origin. Built on July 7th, 1958, it was delivered new in New York and thus has a driving on the left of origin. The vehicle has been partially restored (hull and interior). The painting is in very good condition, but it is no longer
in its original color that was black. The hull number (4854 1463) read is compliant. The interior is no longer in its original color that was red, but the black leather upholstery is in very good condition as are the thresholds of aluminum doors. The engine number reported is compliant (26D / RU / H65423) as is the box number (1354). The choke works. The chrome spoke rims are fitted with Kumho Power Star tires (165 / 80R15) which should be replaced. A beautiful typical English in beautiful condition.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
