Car to be at auction 12/4/12
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

Auction description:
Lot 648 - 1963 Austin-Healey 3000 MK 2
Estimate: £48,000 - £55,000
Registration Number: 6834 RU
Chassis Number: HBJ724809

This example was purchased by the present vendor in 2002 and between 2009 and 2012, he began a detailed "nut and bolt" restoration, which has included full engine and gearbox rebuild with high compression pistons and high lift cam (full documentation of restoration on file).

The result of this painstaking operation is what must be one of the finest examples of this iconic British sports car available today, finished in white over blue paintwork with black leather interior.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
