This 1963 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ7 Mk II is a 2+2 convertible that spent time in Minnesota before being acquired by the seller in 1971. Power is supplied by a 2.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The car has been repainted in yellow, the black soft top has been replaced, and the black upholstery is worn. The wiring to the starter was replaced and an exhaust mount was repaired in November 2023. This 3000 is now offered at no reserve with service records, a workshop manual, and Connecticut registration in the seller’s name.

Previously painted yellow, the car is said to have been refinished in its current brighter shade of yellow in 1973. The black convertible top has been replaced in recent years, and the car has chrome bumpers and dual side mirrors. Rust spots are noted on the left-front fender and the right-rear quarter panel; imperfections are pictured in the gallery below.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels are secured with two-eared knockoffs. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features front and rear seats trimmed in black as well as a Smiths heater. The upholstery and other interior components are worn, and the seller states that the seats should be replaced.

The wrapped banjo-style steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 72k miles, approximately 21k of which were added under current ownership.

The 2.9-liter inline-six is equipped with dual SU carburetors with pancake-style air cleaners. The wiring to the starter is said to have been replaced in November 2023, and a broken exhaust mount was repaired.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Corrosion is noted on underbody components.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles of its age. It is being sold on its Connecticut registration certificate
