This 1962 Austin-Healey 3000 Mark II is finished in Healey Blue with Ivory coves and was sold new in the US after leaving the factory in July 1962. The car has been with the seller for seven years, and a restoration was carried out five years ago by a handful of specialists. Work included chemically-dipping the body and frame followed by a repaint, as well as rebuilding the 4-speed manual gearbox, overdrive unit, and numbers-matching 2.9-liter inline-six. A few mild upgrades were also added, including a set of 60-spoke wheels, a stainless exhaust, headlight relays, and a Pertronix ignition. Approximately 500 miles have been added since the work was completed, and this Mark II 3000 is now being offered with records from the restoration, a BMIHT certificate, an extra set of wire wheels, a tool kit, and a clear Florida title in the seller's name.

Auto Restoration Depot chemically-dipped the car after it was fully disassembled and the aluminum panels were separated from the steel body. Metalwork was required in areas, and Finish Line Auto in Jacksonville, Florida performed the required bodywork and application of the Healey Blue and Ivory finish. Eastwood Company's internal rust coating was applied to frame rails and structural members prior to reassembly.

A new windshield was installed in the re-chromed wrap-around frame, and replacement side windows were also added. The Stayfast cloth convertible top was sourced from Robbins Auto Tops and features a removable rear window. Silver painted 60-spoke wire wheels wear Vredestein rubber, and front disc brakes came standard from the factory. The front calipers have been professionally rebuilt and plumbed with new hard lines and rubber hoses. A set of unrestored 48-spoke wheels are included in the sale.

New dark blue carpet and upholstery was sourced from Moss Motors, and a set of lap belts have been added for the front seats. Nisonger rebuilt the Smiths instruments, and 63k miles are currently shown on the odometer. Approximately 500 miles have been added since the restoration was completed five years ago.

Paul Tsikuris of Tsikuris Classics in Lakeland, Florida rebuilt the original 2.9-liter C-series inline-six. Fuel is delivered to the dual carburetors with a new SU pump, and a breakerless Pertronix Ignitor replaces the original contact points and condenser. Cooling is managed by a new radiator, and all fluids were reportedly flushed three months ago. New cloth-covered wiring was run throughout, and relays have been added to the headlight circuit.

Engine #29F-RU-H/1085 matches the included BMIHT certificate.

The 4-speed manual gearbox and A-type Laycock overdrive were also rebuilt by Paul Tsikuris, and refurbished lever-action shocks from Apple Hydraulics have been installed at each corner. Additional photos of the underside, wheel wells, and brakes have been provided in the gallery below.

The included British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate shows that the car left the factory finished in Ivory White over a Red interior, and it also confirms the original drivetrain and options.
