Car to be at auction 7/15
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

Auction description:
Lot 204 - 1962 Austin Healey 3000 Mk2
Estimate: £18,000 - £22,000
Registration Number: TBC
Chassis Number: H-BJ7-L/20998

This is a genuine Colorado Red car, shipped to Florida in 1962, and purchased by an airline stewardess. After fourteen years she sold the Healey to a gentleman in Illinois, who went on to own it for the following thirty-five years.

Imported into the UK in late 2014, the current owner has overhauled the carburettors, fitted a new fuel pump, and rebuilt the clutch hydraulics. The Healey starts with ease, runs very smoothly, and can be driven on private grounds with the use of a handbrake.

A very original and unbelievably solid car, this Healey is a great basis for restoration to its former glory. Chassis 20998 is offered with a US title document, UK customs clearance and NOVA documentation.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
