This 1963 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk II is finished in two-tone blue and white with a black leather interior and is powered by a 2,912cc C-series inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car was reportedly repainted and the interior refurbished under previous ownership. The current owner acquired the car in 2015, and a service at Griffin Motor Sports LLC of Milford, Connecticut in May 2016 included work on the suspension, cooling, and fuel systems as well as fluid changes and more. This BJ7 Austin-Healey is now offered by the selling dealer on behalf of the owner with a tonneau cover and New York registration.

The exterior is finished in two-tone blue over white, which was repainted under previous ownership. The black soft top is shown raised and collapsed in the photo gallery below, and a matching boot cover is equipped. Fog lights are installed alongside a pair of badges above the bumper, and the seller notes cracks and deformities in the paintwork.

Polished 15″ wire wheels with two-ear knockoffs are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. Work completed in May 2016 at Griffin Motor Sports included rebuilding the steering box, overhauling the brake master and slave cylinders, replacing the suspension bushings, servicing the rear shocks, an alignment, and more in the paperwork.

The four-seat interior was reportedly refurbished under previous ownership and features bucket seats upholstered in black leather with white piping and color-matching black carpeting and door cards.

A banjo-style steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows less than 4k miles, of which the current owner is said to have added approximately 200; true mileage is unknown. A factory AM/FM stereo is equipped.

The 2,912cc C-series inline-six sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, although the seller notes the electric overdrive function does not work. The May 2016 service at Griffin Motor Sports totaled nearly $14k and also included:

Radiator repaired and boiled; hoses and cap replaced
Fuel tank and sending unit replaced
Carburetors cleaned and adjusted
Transmission, differential, and engine oils changed

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
