This 1964 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ7 Mk II was acquired by the current owner’s family member in 1979 and has been parked since approximately 1989. The car is equipped with a 2.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive, and it is finished in two-tone blue with a black soft top over black upholstery. This 3000 Mk II is now offered as a non-running project on dealer consignment at no reserve with the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, and a clean Colorado title.

The body is finished in two-tone blue and was repainted some time ago. A spare hood and trunk lid accompany the vehicle.

The car rides on 15″ knock-off wire wheels, and braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. A spare set of wire wheels is included in the sale.

The 2+2 cabin features bucket seats that are partially trimmed in black upholstery with white piping. The carpets and seat bottoms have been removed.

The banjo-style steering wheel frames Smiths black-dial instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a fuel-level gauge, and a combination gauge displaying oil pressure and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 45k miles, and total mileage is unknown.

The 2.9-liter inline-six featured dual SU HD8 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 150 horsepower and 173 lb-ft of torque. The engine has not been started or run since the late 1980s per the seller.

The engine is linked with a four-speed manual transmission with Laycock de Normanville electric overdrive.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
