I recently purchased this car and have just begun to go through the car prior to restoration. The Car Number & Body Number plates are missing however I have requested a British Automotive Heritage Cert.

The interior looks to be mostly original with some original red carpet & black seats, panels, & dash. The area around or behind the back seats is covered in red leather. The fold down rear seat back is of the fold down type for cargo & still has the original black covering. The car was maintained well considering the age but has been repainted in the past as evident in the overspray I have found. More info to follow...

In High School I owned & drove a 1960 Austin Healey "Frogeye". I ended up selling in before going off to college. Always wanted to own an Austin Healey 3000 aand now that dream is a reality!

    Great running car!!!

Now knowing the original car color was Colorado Red explains the very small amounts of red that I have found on a few bolts & screws.

Thinking I like black but considering black with colorado red coves!!!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
