This 1963 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ7 Mk II is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive and is finished in red with a black convertible top over black upholstery. Equipment includes painted 15″ wire wheels, front disc brakes, dual SU carburetors, a hood scoop, a wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel, and a cabin heater. The car was acquired by the seller in 2013, and work performed since that time involved reupholstering the front bucket seats, installing a trunk liner kit, and replacing the soft top, carpeting, exhaust system, and tires. This 3000 Mk II is now offered with a workshop manual and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The body was refinished in red under previous ownership, and the black vinyl soft top was replaced following the seller’s acquisition. The hood features a chrome-trimmed scoop, and additional brightwork includes fender-mounted mirrors, front-fender flash trim, external trunk hinges, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The seller notes the presence of scratches in the paint.
Silver-painted 15″ wire wheels secured by two-eared knock-offs are mounted with Continental ProContact tires, and a matching spare wrapped in an older Kimball tire is stowed in the trunk. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The 2+2 cabin houses front bucket seats that were reupholstered in black with red piping under current ownership, and replacement black carpeting overlays the floorboards. Interior details include a Smiths heater, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and a chrome passenger-side grab handle.
The wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer flanked by oil-pressure/coolant-temperature and fuel-level gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 88k miles, approximately 500 of which were added by the seller.
The 2.9-liter inline-six featured dual SU HS6 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 136 horsepower with 167 lb-ft of torque. A tune-up and oil change were performed in 2025.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
The Texas title lists “Survivorship Rights” under the remarks section.
