Sold on ebay.com May 1. 2011 for US$18751 by 2bynsell.
This rare BJ7 was manufactured at the end of 1963 as a 1964 model. It has resided in South Carolina the majority of its life. The car was running when placed into storage over 15 years ago. The car was recently pulled out of long term storage and is in remarkable condition! The exterior was washed and the interior was vacuumed and wiped down. Nothing else has been done to spruce it up. The car is original and complete. The electric starter spins the engine over freely with the following compression readings -80-85-85-80-75-90. No attempts have been made to start the engine.
The body and frame are solid, straight and in very good condition. There is some surface rust in the driver and passenger floor area with one 1/2" hole in either side. There is some rust in the trunk on either side of the fender wells with one or two small holes in the bottom. The panel in front of the rear passenger tire has some rust bubbling under the surface. The overall rust is minimal as shown in the photos. There are one or two very small dings on the body. The overall paint actually looks good with a nice shine. The doors, hood and trunk have very good fitment and open and close easily.
Electrics- Connecting a battery we were able to crank over the engine, turn on the headlights, flashers, fuel pump, horn, and gas gauge.
Other features: Overdrive transmission, roll up windows, leather interior, wire wheels
Note: The car does not start or run. The buyer would be responsible for shipping, so bring a trailer and we will help load it.
Payment: $500 deposit within 48 hours with Paypal or wire transfer. Balance due with Wire Transfer or certified check from a National Bank within 7 days of the end of the auction and prior to pick up. Proof of identity required when picking up.

Due to several requests, I took some photos of the undercarriage, specifically the frame rails. They are very solid with a minimal amount of surface rust. I can't figure out how to revise my advertisement for the additional pictures (maybe someone can tell me). So if you are bidding on this car and you are a serious buyer, please send me a request, I can email you the photos. (The bottom of the car looks as good as the top)

Several people have inquired about the leather interior. The interior is not original. The leather is in very good condition and has a supple feel. There would be no reason to replace this interior. The carpets are in fair to good condition.
Convertible top- The top has a large tear and would need to be replaced. The frame is in very good condition and folds easily.
