Seller's description:
What we have here is a true classic British sportscar from the 1960's. This is a stunning 1963 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ7 with less than 2,000 miles on her since completion of a total nut & bolt restoration. The car is finished in a beautiful rich Black which is complemented by its perfect Red leather bucket seat interior and Black vinyl top and Black vinyl boot. You will be hard pressed to find another BJ7 that compares to this car; she is exceptional and deserves consideration from any collector considering a "Big Healey".
This 1963 Austin Healey 3000 MkIII (BJ7) is the whole package and is finished off with the correct, 60 spoke, knock off wire wheels and is in outstanding overall condition. No expense has been spared on this car in bringing her back to life in a form as good or better than when she left the factory. All the numbers are matching including engine, gearbox, transmission and even numbers of firewall controls are all original. This vehicle includes all of the classic appointments such as: chrome ash tray, chrome door handles, dual chrome side mounted fender driving mirrors, chrome fender accents, chrome front bumper and grill, chrome headlight bezel, chrome hood scoop, chrome gas cap, chrome trunk handle, chrome bumpers, chrome wire wheels with knock offs, chrome trunk hinges, chrome windshield wipers, top boot cover, black vinyl soft top, tonneau cover, stainless steel exhaust, four-speed manual transmission with factory overdrive. The independent front suspension with wishbones and coil springs keeps the Healey between the lines and the rigid rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs makes the ride smooth. The stopping power comes from hydraulic front disc and rear drum brakes.
The car has a floor mounted gear shift, matching red dash and plush red carpet. She also has dual wing mirrors, an excellent matched set of radial tires and here are some interesting facts about this specific car:
