Unfortunately the entry for this beautiful car was only received hours prior to completing the catalogue and therefore we do not have the full specification at this time.

However it is finished in Red and Cream with Red hide piped in Grey and is in very good condition and it is a superb colour combination. The car underwent a full restoration programme five years ago during which it has been converted from left hand drive to right hand drive format. It has been imported from a dry state and it is now immaculate.

There has been reputedly over £21000 spent on the restoration including new wheels and tyres, new hood and new tonneau. It is currently tested until February next year and these true British sportscars are now very hard to find for sale in this condition.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
