This 1965 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III underwent a multi-year refurbishment in the late 2010s, and it is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six equipped with triple Weber 45 DCOE carburetors. Finished in red and black over black upholstery, the car has been fitted with a rally-style grille and fender vents as well as driving lights and leather hood straps. Additional equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive, a black soft top, 15” knock-off wire wheels, upgraded suspension components, front disc brakes, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, and Smiths instrumentation. Acquired by the current owner in 2023, this BJ8 is now offered on dealer consignment with a soft top boot, refurbishment records, and a clean Michigan title.

The car was repainted in red and black and the side windows were replaced during the aforementioned refurbishment, which took place between 2013 and 2022. The bumpers were removed, and a rally-style grille and fender vents were added. Other details include driving lights, leather hood straps, and a black soft top.

Painted 15” knock-off wire wheels wear chrome two-eared spinners and are mounted with 185/70 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. The car is said to be equipped with upgraded suspension components, and braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. The brake servo was rebuilt and the master cylinder was replaced in 2019.

The cabin is trimmed in black upholstery that extends to the dash pad, center console, and door panels. Cracked and peeling finish on the wood dashboard fascia is visible.

The Moto-Lita steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. A Lucas amperage gauge is fitted in the glovebox door. The five-digit odometer shows 94k miles.

The 2.9-liter inline-six has been fitted with triple Weber 45 DCOE carburetors mounted on a Warneford intake manifold, a finned valve cover, and a PerTronix electronic ignition conversion kit. The oil pan gaskets, side cover gasket, and timing cover gaskets were replaced in 2019.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with an electrically actuated overdrive unit that was rebuilt in 2015. The gearbox, differential, and rear axle were resealed in 2019. Corrosion is noted on underbody components.
