Mr. Helm, your engine is original to a car with chassis number somewhere around 26445 (/H1557) and 26552 (/H1568). Engines were not matched one-for -one with the chassis, so it isn't possible to be more precise than that. Chassis No. clearly stamped on front of chassis cross-member and commission-plate.
There are no car & body nos. on a plate on bulkhead.
The Healey was built, as per BMIHT Cert., on 01.10.64. The first record of registration I have is on the Dutch Registration Cert. I was given on purchase, is 31.06.1966. The car was evidently imported into the Netherlands from the USA in ca. 2014. Interesting that the car has separate side-lights up front i.e. Phase 2.
