Auction 2016 Blenheim Palace

Chassis Number H-BJ8-L/31599

Make Austin Healey
Complete with larger SUs, a new camshaft and rerouted exhaust with four silencers, its 148bhp provided 120mph performance and 0-60mph in just 9.5 seconds. May 1964 saw a last and notable change; a lack of rear ground clearance had been a long-time bugbear of Healey owners and this was addressed by better locating the axle by the twin radius arms rather than the Panhard rod.
The Mk 3 Healey we have for sale here has been subject to a frame up restoration by well-known Austin Healey expert Mike Salter of Precision Sports Cars of Ontario. The restoration was based on a totally original car that came from Florida and was completed in 2003. The car was subsequently driven to many Healey events until 2007 at which time it was put into professionally de-humidified storage due to the owner's ill health. The car was shipped to the UK in 2015 at which time it passed its MOT with no advisories.
The vendor describes the engine, body and interior as being in excellent condition. Looking splendid finished in green with black hide interior, this is a fantastic opportunity to own a beautifully restored iconic British sports cars. Not to be missed.
