VIN: HBJ8L31802
Year: 1965
Exterior Color: red (Ivory Coves)

fabulously restored, California "Black Plate" rust-free car in original Colorado Red with cream/white coves, black leather with dark red piping and beautifully polished wood facia. Fitted with its original -litre, twin-carburettor, 6-cylinder engine and 4-speed transmission with electric overdrive, chrome fog lamps and 15" knock- off" wire wheels. The car is accompanied by its British Heritage Trust Certificate confirming that the car's numbers are correct and that the car was delivered as a new car in Colorado Red with black top and interior. The sounds, the look and the overall driving experience of Austin Healeys are legendary and ours is one of the finest driving examples which we have had in our 40 years of selling these great cars. This car was delivered new to Charleston, South Carolina, then moved to Watsonville, California before spending its last 7,000 miles and 20 years in New England and New Jersey.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
