Ebay item 6/19/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___ROCK-SOLID-LONG-TIME-BLACK-PLATE-CALIFORNI ...
Current bid $32,000 reserve not met, 1 bid, 7 days left in auction. Buy it now price $42,500.

Sellers description:
This is a long time Black plate California car.THE CAR IS ROCK SOLID!I have bought and sold big Healeys since the early 70s, I have seen no indication of rust history, rust repair or rust at this time except previous repair under battery. I do not recall driving a tighter Healey. The front suspension has been rebuilt, the car has had new hubs, the Dayton wire wheels are new, all add up to a very tight, straight drive. The car has been represented as an engine rebuild, I have no documentation of such but the engine is quiet, strong, with no smoke, one can view fairly fresh gaskets. The brakes have been redone including hoses. The transmission is tight and quiet, clutch feels good and strong (receipt for a replacement). The top is like new black canvas. Chrome is in good condition, gauges are in great condition and all function. Faults on the car is weak paint, faded carpets, center armrest needs recovered and drivers side seat back has a split. There is one small impression on the front cowl, the rest of the body panels are straight, as are gaps. The engine compartment needs paint and detail.I have a Heritage Trust certificate. This is a great example to use as a driver with very high integrity for a future repaint and detail.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
