Hello,
My name is Bruce Block. My siblings and I are having a big 50th Anniversary for our folks in December. We are looking for an Austin Healy to have for show at this event because that is what our Dad drove back when he met our Mom in Lafayette, Indiana. I know this is just a shot in the dark because I am not sure where you are located, or if you would be interested or if this is even possible? But, my motto that has worked for us so far in this event planning is... "it doesn't hurt to ask!" ha ha.
We are located outside of Beaumont Texas.
I appreciate your time reading this note and I hope it is a possibility we can talk about. Feel free to call me. My cell phone number is 409 656 9295.

Thanks again, Bruce

Apparently, Stan didn't follow through with the frame up restoration. The car is being offered by Kurt Tanner Restorations in California in May 2014. It is now Red with a Black interior and hood.

I bought this car in early December, 2020 from a collector in Salt Lake who purchased it from Kurt Tanner. when I purchased it it came with receipts for a new Jule chassis, which was apparently installed as part of the restoration in Canada in 2013. The engine was also rebuilt in May of 2013 by Duffin Engine Service in San Antonio, Texas. The car has new alloy wings and boot lid; beautiful new Colorado Red paint.; New Bilstein shocks bought from Putzke's "FAHRSPASS" in California; new black hood; new rack and pinion steering. Although the car had many useful upgrades, (high torque starter, alternator instead of generator, new driving lights) it had not been completed. New interior trim pieces were bought as a kit but had not been installed, roll up windows had to be reconditioned and the clutch needed to be upgraded, along with many other small details. I called Kurt Tanner to see if he might have records of the person who had rebuilt the car but he didn't. He just bought it and then resold it in 2014. According to the Odometer and previous owner the car has 25 miles on it since the rebuild. When I got it into Denver on December 14th it needed some tuning but fired up right off the frozen delivery truck. I'd like to know who Stan is from the 2011 post above. Maybe he could probably fill in some blanks.

According to the BMIHT certificate it rolled off the line in Abingdon on November 23, 1966 as a blue left hand driver, then was dispatched on Dec 2nd, headed for New York.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
