This 1962 Austin-Healey 3000 BN7 Mk II was built in November 1961 and was acquired in 1999 by the late prior owner, who refurbished the car over the next two decades. It is finished in Ivory White over red leather, and equipment includes a black soft top, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, a top boot, a hood scoop, a cabin heater, and bucket seats. Work in January 2024 is said to have involved resealing the gearbox, repairing an oil leak, and replacing the battery and right front caliper. This 3000 Mk II is now offered on dealer consignment with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, service records, and a clean Oregon title.
The car came finished from the factory in Ivory White (WT3) and was repainted in 2011 by Precision Classics and Collision of Eugene, Oregon. Features include a removable black soft top, a top boot, a hood scoop, and chrome bumpers with overriders.
The 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 165/15 Michelin XZX tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. The right front caliper was replaced in January 2024.
The cabin was reupholstered by Jon Lind Interiors of Springfield, Oregon and features bucket seats that were re-trimmed in red leather with Ivory White piping. Interior appointments include a cabin heater, door storage pockets, and lap belts.
The banjo-style steering wheel frames Smiths white-dial instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, a fuel-level gauge, and a combination gauge displaying oil pressure and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 50k miles.
The 2.9-liter inline-six featured triple SU HS4 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 136 horsepower and 167 lb-ft of torque. A replacement battery was installed and a leak from the oil pan gasket was repaired in January 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with Laycock de Normanville electric overdrive. The transmission was overhauled in 2001, including replacement of three synchros, and it was reportedly resealed in January 2024.
The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate lists the factory colors, serial numbers, and equipment.
