This 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 BN7 Mk I was sold new at Fred Deeley Ltd. of Vancouver, British Columbia and is said to have remained with its original owner in Canada until 2021. Finished in Ivory White over black leather with Ivory White piping, the car was refurbished in the late 1990s and is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a black soft top, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, a tonneau cover, a removable hardtop, a hood scoop, detachable side windows, a cabin heater, and bucket seats. This 3000 Mk I was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024 and is now offered in Canada with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, the initial invoice, the owner’s manual, service records, historical documentation, spare parts, and British Columbia registration.

The car came finished from the factory in Ivory White (WT3) and was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment. Features include a removable black soft top, a tonneau cover, a body-color hardtop, a hood scoop, detachable side windows, bright trim, and chrome bumpers with overriders. Records and invoices related to the refurbishment are provided. The seller notes that the soft top is worn.

Chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with Michelin Rawforce MX4 tires measuring 185/65. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.

The two-seat cabin was reupholstered in the late 1990s and features bucket seats trimmed in black leather with Ivory White piping along with replacement black carpets.

The banjo-style steering wheel frames Smiths white-dial instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, a fuel-level gauge, and a combination gauge displaying oil pressure and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 1,500 miles, which is not considered to be accurate. Total mileage is unknown.

The 2.9-liter inline-six featured dual SU HD6 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 137 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with Laycock de Normanville electric overdrive.

The initial invoice is dated July 15, 1960 and indicates a total new price of $3,801.25.

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate lists the factory colors and options along with delivery to Canada.
