This particular example was purchased by the present owner in July 1989 further to it having been completely rebuilt by Mr G Stevenson of Barrow on Soar. At that time it had only completed a few hundred miles since the rebuild and indeed even now it has only completed just over 5,000 miles. It is kept in a heated garage and to give you some sort of idea of the quality of this car it has only ever competed in one concours event, in 1989 at the Healey International, and it came third overall. It has been converted to run on unleaded fuel and has a lovely history file, which includes the certificate from the concours and its points scoring sheets, it's Heritage Certificate confirming that it is an original UK car and a letter from Stevenson's Garage, which confirms the insurance valuation of £30,000.

This is one of the very best you will find and if you are looking for a car that will give you a real buzz in 2001 you have found it.

The MKI 3000 now on offer is an occasional four-seater (BT7) example manufactured in 1960. It sports Colorado Red bodywork and a Red-piped Black leather interior. According to an open endorsement penned in November 1997 by G P Stevenson of Stevensons's Garage of Barrow-On-Soar, Leicestershire, it is evident that chassis H-BT7/11232 was treated to an extensive restoration in the 1980s, following which it was apparently placed third in the concours event at the 1989 International Healey Weekend. The 1997 report went on to note, "Every aspect of the car is still excellent, both bodily and mechanically. It is certainly a credit to its owner." Entering the current family ownership via the H&H sale of February 2001, the MKI 3000 is considered by the vendor to be in "excellent" condition with regard to its coachwork, engine, transmission and interior trim, while he rates its paintwork as "near perfect". This very handsome car features a period Moto Lita woodrim steering wheel and chrome wing-mounted racing mirrors, and comes complete with driver's handbook, workshop manual and a range of new and secondhand spares.

PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle is currently registered in Eire and will therefore need to be re-registered with the appropriate authority if it is to be used in another country. It was formerly UK registered with the DVLA as 'RSU 953'.
