Car to be at auction 12/13

Auction description:
Lot 321
1960 Austin-Healey 3000 MkI Roadster
Chassis no. HBT7-8020
£38,000 - 46,000
US$ 62,000 - 75,000
1960 Austin-Healey 3000 MkI Roadster
Chassis no. HBT7-8020

A BT7 2+2 model, this right-hand drive Austin-Healey 3000 MkI has been in Germany with its current owner since 1986. In 1990/1991 the car was treated to a complete 'ground upwards' restoration (see full photographic record on file) since when it has covered 5,541 kilometres (approximately 3,400 miles) in dry weather only, being stored in a low-humidity garage during the winter months. Described by the vendor as 'still in perfect shape', it is said to be a very good runner and problem free. Attractively finished in Old English White with red leather interior, this well presented 'Big Healey' is currently German registered and comes with valid TüV.

car first registered as 366PPB & delivered to Weybridge Automobiles Ltd which was then owned by a Gilbert James Allday who was Chairnan of the VCC UK. It is not known at this time if the Healey was run by the company or bought on behalf of a customer. Weybridge Autos were a well known Rolls & Bentley dealership but im told they also sourced other makes for their customers

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
