For sale on ebay: cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Original-Older-Restoration-Heritage-Certificate-Excellen ...

You are bidding on a 1962 Austin Healey 3000 MKII BT7 Ivory white over Red interior with Black top. Exactly as documented on the official British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate and how it left the factory on the 12th of January 1962. This is an older restoration of a nice original, numbers matching, low mileage and low owner Austin Healey that is ready to be shown or driven.

Options as mentioned on the Heritage Certificate are Wire Wheels, Heater, Adjustable Steering Column, Laminated Windscreen, Roadspeed Tyres and Overdrive. Essentially every option offered for the car in 1962. Engine Number 29E-RU-H/3530 and Body Number 17171.

The Austin Healey is in very good overall condition as can be seen by the photos. The exterior of the car (paint, chrome, glass, top) are all in good condition showing almost no wear.

The interior of the car (seats, cockpit, carpet, door panels and dash) are all in very good condition and showing almost no wear. Trunk with armacord trunk liner and accessories are like new. Battery cut-off switch works as it should and still includes a factory hang-tag for owner removal.

Mechanically the car runs and drives out very well. This is a MKII, so it is the tri-carb version with 3 separate HS4 carburetors making it even that much more rare and collectible in the Austin Healey market. It starts easily, idles great and sounds fantastic (with brand new stainless steel exhaust). Clutch, transmission, overdrive and brakes are all working exactly as they should.

All 5 wire wheels have a flawless finish and are riding on like new period correct sized (165R15) tires.

As can be seen in the photos, it comes as well with all of the weather equipment (top, tonneau, side curtains and side curtain holder). Top has good vinyl and clear flawless glass. Top frame and tonneau support bow both are the correct factory color grey (see photo). Side curtains are clear and in good condition. The Tonneau cover although not new is in good condition and includes the original locking support bows. Included are the Heritage Certificate, workshop manual, a car cover, various parts catalogs and a new set of Austin Healey floor mats.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
