Ebay item 12/28/07

Opening bid $34,950 reserve not met, no bids yet, 7 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1960 Austin Healey 3000 BT7 MK1 that has received a thorough restoration both aesthetically and mechanically.

This charming vehicle comes equipped with a 2.9 Liter 6-Cylinder mated with a manual transmission. Engine starts right up and given enough of a warm up, runs smooth and consistent.

The restoration took place about 500 miles ago by a shop down in Eugene, with full photo documentation of the restoration process.

Items that were restored are as follows: New Paint, Rust Free Body, Rebuilt Engine, Upgraded transmission to center shift & rebuilt, Rebuilt overdrive, Rebuilt brake system with new parts, new cooling system with recored radiator, new dayton wire wheels, new tires, rebuilt steering box, new wiring harness, new clutch hydraulics.

The numbers on this car are: Body - 3041BT7L 8413, Car - HBT7L8393.

The body and exterior of this car is extremely straight, paint is nice and glossy with a perfect shine, panel fit is great everywhere with doors being aligned properly. Most of the exterior trim pieces are in great condition, and a few have a slight patina to them that lends to the vintage feel of this car.

The interior of this car is about as good as it gets, black with red piping is just a stunning combination. Everything looks original with the exception of the door panels and Moto-Lita wood steering wheel, that just add to the style of the vehicle.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
