Car to be at auction 8/11
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php
Auction description:
Lot 123 - 1956 Austin Healey 100/4 BN2 - 'M' specification
Estimate: €40,000 - €50,000
Registration Number: BSL 190
Chassis Number: BN 2 L 230420
This fabulous Healey was delivered new to America in January 1956. Imported back into the UK from Florida in 1997, the body was restored by Ken Rance in Reading. The engine was rebuilt by the ex-Jack Brabham man, S.Sinton - at this time many mechanical modifications were made. The car was converted to RHD, fitted with a fast road cam and a lightened flywheel from the famous Healey tuner Dennis Welch. An alloy sump, lightened fan and an 'unleaded' head with Healey 3000 valves were also fitted. BSL 190 is also fitted with front disc brakes, and an aluminium fuel tank.
A list of all the work done is available in the car's file, The car is equipped with full weather equipment and tonneau. Offered from us with UK title and Heritage certificate, this example is described by the vendor to be in excellent condition, and is finished in the stunning colour combination of Brewster Green over Black.
This superb early Austin Healey is eligible for the most prestigious events such as the Mille Miglia and as such is an opportunity not to be missed.
