This 1956 Austin-Healey 100 BN2 roadster was acquired by the current owner in 1988 after being parked for approximately 15 years, and it was refurbished between 1990 and 1996. Finished in Florida Green over black leather, the car is powered by a 2.7-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a removable black soft top, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, a tonneau cover, and bucket seats. This 100 is now offered on dealer consignment with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, refurbishment photos and records, an Austin-Healey Concours Registry certificate, and a clean Oregon title.
Previously finished in black, the car was repainted its factory shade of Florida Green during the aforementioned refurbishment, at which time the floors, rear inner wheel wells, rockers, rear dog legs, and left door skin were replaced. Features include a removable black soft top, a tonneau cover, an adjustable windshield, chrome bumpers with overriders, and a single exhaust outlet.
The 15″ silver-finished knock-off wire wheels are mounted with Michelin XZX tires, and braking is handled by drums at each corner. The front and rear brake shoes were replaced in 2020.
The interior was reupholstered in the early 1990s and houses bucket seats trimmed in black leather.
The banjo-style steering wheel frames refurbished Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles, which is not considered to be accurate. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.7-liter inline-four was rebuilt in 1991 and was equipped from the factory with dual SU carburetors.
Engine tag 1B232718M is corresponding number is listed on the BMIHT certificate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate lists the factory colors and serial numbers.
The car received a gold level certification from the Austin-Healey Concours Registry in August 1996.
