For sale on e-bay: cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Austin-Healey-3000-BJ8-

Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8

HBJ8L29256

Silver with black interior, originally "Healey Blue" with blue interior
Odometer shows 99,173 miles, but true mileage is unknown
Engine # 29K/RU/H10889, transmission #5473, body #3197BJ874136
The engine runs extremely well, with no smoke or other known issues
The interior is in very nice condition, no tears or worn areas in the seats
The paint is very presentable with some small rock chips and scratches
The body is very solid, with evidence of some minor rust repairs in the rocker areas and behind the doors in front of the rear tires.
The frame is solid in all areas, with no evidence of rust or rust repairs
The chrome is very nice, with some pitting in the grill surround and bumper stops
The car is very mechanically sound:
Brakes are in good working condition
Recently rebuilt steering gear box
Engine is very strong
Transmission shifts smoothly
Suspension is in good condition front and rear
Nice Michelin X radials with lots of tread
Chrome wire wheels
Excellent running and driving condition
This car was advertised on ebay recently as having the original engine and gearbox. However, the AH Club of America Registry indicates that this car had engine number 29K/RU/H3986 from the factory. Many thanks to them for this clarification.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
