Description of WHAT I KNOW:
THE BAD:
Engine burns oil
Engine and transmission leak oil. (they have been doing this since I got her off the showroom floor). British built in lubrication and anti rust system for undercarriage ?).
Parking brake needs adjusted
The "tunnel" fiberglass transmission cover leaks HOT air inside car. I found out when I drove from Orange County California to Las Vegas in summer.
Some oil most likely got on clutch and unaware drivers will feel the clutch slip. Said clutch has less than 1000 miles. Not a problem for me as I have been driving her for 44 years and I do not allow "unaware" drivers to even kiss her exhaust.
There is a 2 inch crack in the bonnet on the near side that I never fixed
There is a "star" on the windscreen approximately 1 inch square.
Needs rubber gearshift boot replaced
THE UGLY
Desperately needs a soft top, Hardware is perfect. Canvas/vinyl is done for.
Front DRIVER seat partially unstitched (see photo)
No jack
Paint "light" on front door offside. An apprentice in detailing buffed a little too hard.
Needs a rubber pad on clutch pedal.
The turn signals are "lazy" that is slow. I would replace the relay(cheap)
She is a street, driver's car, NOT a show queen or a museum piece.
She was my only everyday transportation for many years and I would not hesitate to drive her ANYWHERE without notice. As aforementioned I drove her to Las Vegas when I moved out of Southern California when I retired.
I am now getting older almost 70 years old and cannot physically enjoy the car as I used to when I was younger, which is the reason for the sale.
As you can see from the pictures she is more than very presentable and attracts lots of attention and nice comments. Some potential buyers came and inspected it and complimented me on the car as well as my honest representation.
THE GOOD
Her entire life spent on the Riviera, Southern California and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Always garaged
Will without any question hit red zone (maximum speed) in fourth overdrive. Don't tell CHP.
Optima battery
Reinforced front suspension with telescopic dampers
Pressurized cooling system to 15 pounds with recovery tank
"Tropical" 5 blade fan
Manually controlled electric fan
Auxiliary radiator with connection to rear cylinders.
SHE DOES NOT OVERHEAT even in traffic on the Strip when it is 115 Farenheit IN THE SHADE.
Alternator, I seem to recall 100 watts.
Spin on/off oil filter.
Tank, pump and hose for electric windscreen washer (installation not completed. Needs the jets installed. (I have two brand new ones )
High beam flasher on dashboard
Air horn control on dash, original [puny] horn removed

Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you.
She was involved in a slight "push" circa 2000 when stopped at a red light the car behind me which was also stopped started too soon and bumped the car. I replaced rear bumper and boot lid although the shop wanted to repair them (minimum damage) but I wanted the best and took the opportunity to install an aluminum boot lid and new bumper from Moss Motors.
