Original color was Ivory White. Upholstery was Black and convertible top was Black. How 'bout some photos and additional details?

Heritage certificate says the original color was blue. As I’m stripping her down I am finding what I presume to be the original blue w red primer underneath. How did you come by the ivory?

Very sorry, but thanks for the correction. I have been the keeper of the BJ8 Registry since 1998 and currently document more than 54% of total BJ8 production (9,569 of 17,712 cars built). I had a friend in England who researched BJ8 data for me in the BMIHT archives for more than 15 years. He researched chassis 42160 in November 2011 (along with 27 other cars) and reported that the original color was Ivory White with Black trim and top. While checking his report based on your comment, I discovered that he included 42160 twice. One sheet says Ivory White, and the other says Healey Blue. So, now I know which is correct.

    My apologies.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
