Car to be at auction 4/14
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

Auction description:
Lot 136 - 1959 Austin Healey 3000 MK I
Estimate: £18,000 - £22,000
Registration Number: 468 UYE
Chassis Number: HBT 72213

First registered on 28th August 1959, this charming UK delivered car was purchased by its 2nd owner on the 20th December 1977, where it was used regularly before going into dry storage opposite Richmond Park in Surrey. It subsequently passed onto its third owner in June 2013 where it underwent light recommissioning and now boasts an MoT certificate valued until January 16th 2015.

Supplied with a V5 document confirming 2 former keepers as well as bills and receipts for recent work carried out, it also comes with an original hardtop in green which still retains its original headlining. In an unrestored and original condition with plenty of patina inside and out, it is being used by the vendor as is or indeed the car can be restored to its former glory.

Finished in white, along with the original red leather interior, the engine is fitted with triple SU's and overdrive offering effortless performance.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
