Opening bid $12,500 reserve not met, no bids yet, 6 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1961 Austin Healey 3000 BT7. It was purchased from the original owner with only 20,000 miles on the odometer. It has been garage kept since new, and has not been on the road since 1984. I have the original NJ title dated 11/21/60. It is a rust free original untouched car. It is totally complete including a rare Inskip hardtop. Any modifications made to this car by the original owner are mainly cosmetic, such as period driving lights, Motorola radio and radio antenna. The engine is free but I have made no attempt to start it. It is equipped with a factory overdrive unit. The original owner had a small gasoline fire on the floor of the garage next to the car and some of the paint on the right side fender had been damaged. I must stress again that this car is RUST FREE which is unheard of for these early Healeys. The car is in need of a complete restoration but you will never find a better candidate. There is virtually no bodywork neccessary. I have the folding top bows along with the original soft top, the plexiglass side curtains, original steering wheel and the original red line spare tire still in the trunk. The list goes on and on about why this car is so special and deserves to be brought back to perfect condition.

    Hello,
My name is Bruce Block. My siblings and I are having a big 50th Anniversary for our folks in December. We are looking for an Austin Healy in this year range to have for show at this event because that is what our Dad drove back when he met our Mom in Layfayette, Indiana. I know this is just a shot in the dark because I am not sure where you are located, or if you would be interested or if this is even possible? But, my motto that has worked for us so far in this event planning is... "it doesn't hurt to ask!" ha ha.
We are located outside of Beaumont Texas.
I appreciate your time reading this note and I hope it is a possibility we can talk about. Feel free to email me or call me. My cell phone number is 409 656 9295. My email is brucewblock@aol.com.

    Thanks again, Bruce

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
