cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Austin-Healey-Austin-Healey-3000-MKII-1962-Austin-Healey ...

Seen on eBay, April 2007. Seller's description:

"This is a rare and desirable 3000 MKII BT7 triple carb roadster. The MKII, designated by it's tri-carb arrangement was the fastest and most comfortable of the Big Healey Roadsters. This is 1 of only 5096 ever produced.

The body is in excelent condition. There is no rust anywhere on the car and the body panels are in superb condition with only a few hard to find dings/blemishes. I bought the car from a gentleman that kept it in a heated garage. Since I have owned the car it has never seen any fowl weather and also rests in my heated garage.

The chassis is an excellent, straight, rust free chassis with perfectly solid inner and outer sills, floors, trunk, outriggers and posts. The car even has the original exhaust heat shield under the drivers floor.

The mechanics are perfect. The transmission, overdrive, clutch, brakes, master and slave cylenders, carburators, belts, hoses, wires, water pump, shocks, etc. are new or rebuilt. The cars starts everytime and runs absolutly great. The transmission is a side shift type with a laycock A-type overdrive. I also have a center shift transmission and overdrive for the car. All of the guages, horn and lights work properly.

The interior, tonneau cover, and carpet are brand new. I also spent hours fitting heat and sound deadening padding throughout the entire car before the carpet was installed. What an improvement.

The 60 spoke chrome dayton wire wheels and tires are brand new. The tires still have the nubs on them.

The exhaust is stainless steel and there is a new battery and trunk linning.

The doors, hood and trunk all FIT and CLOSE perfect.

I have the original windshield wash bottle and other misc. items also along with the very hard to find Hardtop and side curtains and convertable top. I have never used them but I have them."

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
