Sellers description:
1961Austin Healey 3000 Mark II Roadster BT7 (4 seater) .
This is a beautiful and well running car-If you have been considering buying a car and restoring it--save the agravation and time and buy this car.

This car needs nothing. It had a frame up restoration done in 2002. Since then it has been driven approx 1000 miles. The frame was a Julie Enterprises frame and the mechanic who did the restoration tells me the all original colors, styles and when possible materials were used. It was not rebuilt to be a trailer queen, but rather a fun driving weekend car. The Julie Enterprises frame is reputed to be stiffer than the original. The seats were redone with Red Connelly leather hides. The motor was freshened including new bearings, rings and an electronic distributor was added for drive-ability and reliability. The engine was also given a rear main seal update to avoid leaking. Carpets were redone, and although not original were a close match. The bumpers were re chromed ( triple plated) and most trim pieces were replaced. Radiator was re-cored. This is a numbers matching car with 58000 miles on it. The Transmission is a Toyota 5 spd tranny that was a "smitty's" kit--added at time of restoration for reliability that the Austin overdrive transmission did not offer.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
