• Imported to Europe in 2019
Introduced in 1953, the Austin-Healey 100 BN1 launched one of the most beautiful lines of postwar British roadsters. Designed by Donald Healey and powered by a robust 2,660 cc 4-cylinder engine paired with a three-speed gearbox with overdrive, the BN1 is known for its pure design and strong sporting character. Light, willing, and mechanically simple, it perfectly embodies the spirit of the 1950s British sports car, focused on driving sensations rather than unnecessary sophistication. Its long bonnet, compact cabin, and instantly recognizable front end make it a highly sought-after model today.
The example presented here, chassis BN1-L/223500, was delivered new in the United States, where it remained for several decades before being imported to Europe in 2019. Its original configuration combined a white body with a red interior — a particularly popular combination on early models. It now appears in a blue shade. Partially equipped with the Le Mans Kit, including the bonnet and upgraded radiator, the car has also benefited from recent maintenance, including a service carried out in 2022 covering, among other items, the brakes and ignition.
With documented history and attractive presentation, this BN1 offers a fine opportunity to acquire one of the most iconic British roadsters of its era.
