The car is finished in British Racing Green Dark and was repainted under prior ownership. Features include a folding black soft top, a hood scoop, bright trim, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The door window glass and driver’s window regulator were replaced in 2024. The seller notes that the hood is difficult to open and there is bubbling in the paint.
Replacement 15″ knock-off wire wheels were installed and mounted with Vrederstein tires in 2024. Additional work at that time involved replacing the rear wheel cylinders, rear brake shoes, wheel bearings and hubs, brake master cylinder, and sway bar mounts and bushings as well as the front brake rotors, calipers, and pads.
The 2+2 cabin features bucket seats trimmed in black leather along with color-coordinated carpets and door panels.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths black-dial instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a fuel-level gauge, and a combination gauge displaying oil pressure and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 45k miles.
The 2.9-liter inline-six featured dual SU HS6 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 134 horsepower and was rebuilt in 2004. More recent work in 2024 included a valve adjustment and the installation of an alternator, high-torque starter, and Pertronix electronic ignition as well as replacing the battery, fuel hoses, spark plugs and wires, fuel filter, and valve cover gasket.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with Laycock de Normanville electric overdrive. The clutch hydraulic cylinders were replaced in 2024.
The Washington title carries “Exceeds Mechanical Limits” and “Classic” brands.
