Car offered at:
LOT 64
1960 – Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III BJ8 [note this car is not a 1960 model as listed]
Chassis No. HBJ8L/29090
French classic car registration document
Vehicle sold without a roadworthiness test
Estimate 35 000 € - 45 000 €
“Significant recent expenditure, attractive valuation”
The Austin-Healey featured here was first registered in 1965 in the USA. It was imported into France in 2018, having remained with the same owner in the state of Georgia since 1974.
Today, the car has developed a rather attractive patina. The bodywork was refurbished a few years ago and shows a few minor imperfections, as noted in the condition report. The upholstery, meanwhile, is in very good condition and appears to be largely original.
Mechanically, this example runs beautifully. A comprehensive file of invoices accompanies this car, including, notably in 2024, a refurbishment of the gearbox – specifically the overdrive – as well as work carried out on a number of engine components. All of this now ensures a highly enjoyable driving experience.
Offered at a very attractive estimate, this Big Healey will be ideal for a family looking to go on holiday in an elegant, prestigious roadster that’s powerful enough to cover the miles without breaking a sweat!
