This Austin-Healey 3000 Mk3 BJ8 Phase 2 was originally delivered in the United States and subsequently moved to Canada. This export history aligns with the model’s original market position, as it was sold in large numbers outside the United Kingdom. The car comes with older documentation, which adds an additional layer of history to the vehicle.
The Austin-Healey is in running condition. The paintwork has various imperfections. The interior looks generally neat. Within the Austin-Healey lineup, the BJ8 is known as one of the last variants built, featuring the classic inline-six configuration and the traditionally oriented roadster concept that distinguishes this model from many of its contemporaries.
Characteristic of the Austin-Healey 3000 as a whole is the combination of a relatively powerful engine for a British open-top sports car and a body style that was explicitly tailored for international export. The BJ8 Phase 2 represents the culmination of the series, bringing the development of the 3000 line together in one of the brand’s final production stages in this form.
