This 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III is finished in British Racing Green over black leather and is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Following the selling dealer’s 2026 acquisition, the black soft top, wood dashboard trim, and components for the front disc brakes were replaced. Details include twin carburetors, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, a hood scoop, a luggage rack, a cabin heater, and front bucket seats. This 3000 Mk III is now offered with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, spare parts, and a clean Missouri title.

Finished in British Racing Green, the car is equipped with a black soft top that was replaced in preparation for the sale. Details include a hood scoop, a luggage rack, and chrome bumpers with overriders. One of the turn signals was replaced under current ownership.

Knock-off 15″ wire wheels are mounted with Michelin XZX tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and the left front caliper and front hoses were replaced in preparation for the sale. The leather strap for the spare tire is cracked and breaking.

The 2+2 cabin features bucket seats trimmed in black leather with contrasting piping as well as a cabin heater and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. The wood dashboard trim was replaced under current ownership.

The banjo-style steering wheel frames Smiths black-dial instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a fuel-level gauge, a combination gauge, and a tachometer that was rebuilt following the selling dealer’s acquisition. The speedometer angle drive was also replaced. The five-digit odometer shows 76k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.

The 2.9-liter inline-six featured dual SU HD8 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 150 horsepower and 173 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.

The engine is backed by a four-speed manual transmission with Laycock de Normanville electric overdrive.

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate lists production information and identification numbers.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
