Lot #219526
This 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 BN7 Mk I was acquired by the current owner in 1994 as a project that consisted of the body and frame, and work completed in 1998 involved installing a 2.9-liter inline-six and a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The interior was refreshed with black leather upholstery with red piping, and the car was refinished in red. Other details include a black soft top, top boot, and tonneau cover as well as detachable side windows, 15″ knock-off wheels, front disc brakes, and a cabin heater. This 3000 Mk I is now offered on dealer consignment with the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, and a clean Colorado title.
The car is finished in red and is equipped with a black soft top. A coordinated top boot and tonneau cover will accompany the car along with detachable side windows. The seller notes that an area of the soft top has been repaired, and a wood block is inserted between the side mirror and the body of the car.
Knock-off 15″ wheels are mounted with Firestone-branded tires, and a spare is housed in the trunk. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
Black leather upholstery with red piping covers the bucket seats, red carpets line the floors, and a black dash pad is fitted. The cabin also has a heater and a passenger-side grab handle.
The banjo-style steering wheel frames Smiths white-dial instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 11k miles. The seller states the mileage is not accurate, and total mileage is unknown.
The 2.9-liter inline-six has dual SU HD6 carburetors and is backed by a four-speed manual transmission with Laycock de Normanville electric overdrive. A transmission leak is reported.

Service records, an owner’s manual, and spare parts are included in the sale.
