This Austin Healey 3000 MkI BT7 was originally supplied new to St. Louis, Missouri as a left-hand drive 2+2 example, factory specified with a particularly attractive combination of wire wheels, overdrive, heater, laminated windscreen and performance tyres. Re-imported to the UK in 2004, the Healey subsequently benefited from a comprehensive, body-off restoration by marque specialists JME Healeys, during which it was professionally converted to right-hand drive. We sold the Healey in our July Buxton sale to a great sports-car enthusiast who unfortunately finds that a change of circumstances forces its sale before he has had an opportunity to properly enjoy it. However, the previous owner reported that it started “on the button” and it strikes us as being an ideal car for classic touring throughout the spring and summer. In fact, it could be enjoyed year-round, as it is supplied with a matching hardtop and side screens, as well as a new hood and frame the vendor has purchased. A well-presented and well-equipped example, this lovely “Big Healey” is supplied with a V5C, a BMIHT certificate, and restoration documentation.
